What is HR Amigos Golf Society

• We are a large Golf Society that was set up in 2017 with the objective of organising golf games for a few friends that wanted to play a regular golf game that was fun but also had a level of competition within it.

Where are you based?

• Whilst the Society is formally based at Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort, Murcia, Spain we play at over 30 different courses across Murcia, Alicante & Almeria regions within each year.

How big are you?

• We have proved to be extremely popular and have grown enormously from an initial group of 12 players to now having over 400 members (active within the past 2 years). Our events typically range from having 32+ players in Low Season to 60+ players in Mid / High Season.

When do you play and what sort of games?

• We play every Thursday (except for the 3rd Thursday of the month) and at almost every event we play both a Team Game and an Individual game, which is invariably split into 2 or 3 categories based on handicaps. Each year we also operate 3 Order of Merit competitions (each over 4 months), based on the best 4 individual scores from each player in their first 6 games played in that time window.

Do you play the same games each week?

• No, we have over 40 different team game formats that we utilise (team games with a quirk) and we have a number of Major Events that we run each year, including an 'Away day' with overnight stay & gala dinner.

Can women play and is there a Ladies section?

• We are a unisex society in which we have many female members, however, we integrate Ladies with Men in all teams & Individual competitions.

Are there any restrictions?

• The only restrictions are handicap based in that we insist on all players showing a formal handicap certificate when they join (WHS or regular society handicap) and that the handicap maximum for Men is 28 and for Women is 32.

How do I join?

• That is easy, if you meet the minimum requirements then simply complete the Amigos Registration form and hit submit. We will reply with some details and request a copy of your handicap certificate.

How do I book onto games?

• Again, very easy. Simply go to the SCHEDULE page and book online to the game that you are interested in. We are, however, very popular and whilst you can book well into the future we frequently get oversubscribed for games so book as soon as you have travel plans etc confirmed.
