2023 is now firmly behind us and we look forward to another golf adventure, our 8th year in fact, where we carry on with both established and new golf competitions. The ‘Interested in Joining? Click Here’ website button has been heavily subscribed and more of you seem to want to try our unique Amigos brand, not only for one time but then to continue to do so regularly, and that is truly amazing! It is so good that we have such an expansive reach that we can introduce new players to the mix and not just for the golf but for the pre and post-game social occasions too. We have so many players we consider ‘regulars’ from the very beginning that still play with us, some record!
Beware though that there is a limit and we are always wary of growing too much so it is important to reserve your games as early as you can to guarantee inclusion.

We always play Individual Golf Competitions combined with a Team game so that the more serious golfer can challenge for the Platinum Order of Merit trophies which reward consistent performance, and now we introduce our Race to La Finca. This is an Honours Board Competition which will be played over the year culminating in a grand finale at La Finca in December. The more games you play the greater the chance you will have of getting into Tier 1 and winning the premier prize. Additional Tier 2 & Tier 3 category grand prizes are also available along with monthly awards along the way.
Amigos v Golden Bear will remain a fixture, look out for a European Nations Matchplay Competition and we start another year of the ‘Forties Club’.
Your response to the Amigos Shirt-World Tour has been remarkable with Amigos playing golf courses in Red Shirts in countries around the world. Indeed after only a few months you have experienced over 90 golf courses in 20 countries with some incredibly prestigious golf clubs ‘ticked off’. Please keep it up and send us your pictures; play the course wearing your red Amigos Shirt showing the logo with a sign or logo of the course in the same photo. And do check out the interactive map on the home webpage to see where your fellow Amigos have played, you might fancy going there yourself?
We look forward to taking you to San Juan, Alicante in May’24 for two days of golf with overnight accommodation and gala dinner included, you so wanted another excursion following Mojacar last year! Plans are well advanced and so are the target numbers required. But refer to the dedicated webpages which are continually updating for all the latest news.
The competition fixture list has been available for quite some time but do keep checking it out. We have around 44 games on 28 courses throughout Murcia and Alicante this year and all your favourites will be there, but do try out the unfamiliar courses too. No course is more than one hours drive away and we always encourage you to car share. Amigos is more about the overall collection rather than the one off so see how many you can play in a year. We strive to bring you the best Society rates available even though prices generally have increased across the fairways! But watch out for some subsidies along the way to surprise you. The least of which will be maintaining our annual Amigos Membership fee of €10,00 per person.
One of our biggest words is Patience and we ask that you exercise same whilst waiting to support your day’s competition prizewinners. We have reached our optimum numbers now per game, there’s so many of you that want to play, and we will endeavour to rotate the early starters. Would you always check out the final start sheet on the Wednesday before competition day on the website as enforced or emergency changes do occur. Your changes of golf information are always appreciated to keep the database up to date and it minimises inconvenient start sheet changes too. Please do keep checking out the website and it’s pages not only with golf matters but points of interest and current information.
