Hola Amigos,
Thank you all for joining Amigos at our hurriedly re-arranged competition at El Valle today.  Conditions and format produced average scoring but with one or two notable exceptions. Thank you all of our Team Captains, Players 1, for taking on the added bit of pressure!

Category 1:
Alastair Sporne is duly mentioned with 36 stableford points and with another great display of golf with only 4 shots David Henshall-Brown : 37 points. However, many congratulations:-

Winner and best of the day by a clear 3 points : Kersten Rammeloo : 42 points
Runner-Up : Richard MacDonald, 39 points.

Category 2:
Very well done Richard Verhoeven, 30 points and Carol Henshall-Brown, 31 points, you are both honourably mentioned. All Plaudits, though are saved for our prize winners:-

Winner : Brian Stobbs : 36 points.
Runner-Up : Joe Leahy : 32 points.

Team Competition
Clear difficulties were obvious with only one Team exceeding standard par of 108 points:-

Winners : Team 5 : 115 points
Kersten Rammeloo, An Van den Borre, Brian Stobbs and Maxime Rammeloo.

Runners-Up : Team 3 : 105 points but only after exhaustive checks for the prize:-
Alastair Sporne, David Robinson Snr., Richard Verhoeven and Yvonne Verhoeven.

3rd place : Team 4 : 105 points
Eddie Beale, Bob Lancaster, Harry Rice and Aidan Lowe.

Other team scores were: Team 1 = 99 pts, Team 2 = 92 pts, Team 7 = 91 pts, Team 6 = 87 pts.

And well done Alastair for being Runner-Up, Category 1 last week, revealed only when entering the Master Scoreboard scores. Thank you all for taking part and hope that you enjoyed your day.

Our forthcoming fixtures, confinements permitting see Amigos play at La Serena on Thursday 08 Apr’21, La Torre on Thursday 22 Apr’21 and Roda Golf on Thursday 29 Apr’21.  Please do book on-line for any of these competitions you would be most welcome.

Thursday 15 Apr’21 sees the inaugural GNK Summer League Competition which promotes two Teams of 6 players selected by captains Henry Gill (Parker above email) and Patricia Gingell commence battle against other GNK and Homebased Teams. Players are eligible from any of the Monday HRGSoc, Golden Bears or Amigos Societies (Not just HRGS) and you do not have to participate in all games, just the ones your schedules allow. Please do support them and if you haven’t registered your interest already please do so by emailing them direct, links above.

Let’s hope we have a good number for La Serena and hope that our Mar Menor based Amigos will be able to join us.
Saludos
Graham
