Hola AMIGOS
How good it was to re-acquaint Amigos with Altaona Club Members today and on their own golf patch! It was a good morning’s golf for a respectable number of Summer golfers on an improving course and despite some obvious ongoing reparations Altaona Village should always be included on a competition schedule.
It was very hot out there but how hot was the golf? Let’s see:-
With this format, Stableford 50 Countdown, 63 was standard par and all Teams returned good scores and the One/Two were very good. Team 2, Ken O’Keeffe, Shaun Fenwick, Hanne Johnslov and Diane Nicholls, you are honourable mentioned but exceeding your total of 69 were:-
Winners : Team 4 : 79 points
Nigel Horsefield, Phil Brookes, Aiden MacCrory and Bob Lancaster
Runners-Up : Team 2 : 73 points
Harry McKeon, Colin Walters, Steve Nicholls and Andrew Smithurst (Ghost)
And for the second week running, where there were opportunities no Two’s were recorded for which the Charity Pot thanks you all!
Our next Amigos Competition is towards the end of August whilst we take a short break but please do register for two GNK Courses, El Valle on Thursday 22 Aug’24 and La Torre on Thursday 29 Aug’24. September will see us visit Lo Romero, Alhama Signature, Las Colinas followed by Font del Llop in early October, what a line-up!
