Welcome back to more routine golf following the successful ‘Away Day’ to La Sella last week and it was great to see all you ‘returnees’ join our regulars.
How did you fair today?  Mixed.  There were some good individual performances but the little quirks of the two lowest stableford scores counting  on all Par 3’s was tricky and reduced all of the Team scores, bar one, to an over par score.
Category 1
Caroline Cherry, Paul Taylor, Alastair Sporne, 32, Kersten Rammeloo, 33 and Dave Hooper, 35 you are hereby honourably mentioned. But many congratulations go the the podium Players:-
Winner : Gordon Hutchinson : 39 points
Runner-Up : Terry Wallington: 37 points
Category 2
Carol Brand, 33 and An Van Den Borre, 34 are worthy of being mentioned in dispatches but the plaudits are shared between two players but only a lower handicap separated the Winner and Runner-Up. And making a sensational return to Amigo’s:-
Winner : Richard Verhoeven : 35 points
Runner-Up : Nigel Smith : 35 points

Team competition 
Many congratulations managing to exceed par, just:
Winners : Team 6 : 74 points
Caroline Cherry, Gordon Hutchinson, Charlie Lumsden and Mike Kitchen
Other team scores were: Teams 8 & 5 = 70pts, Teams 9 & 3 = 69pts, Teams 1, 2 & 7 = 67pts and Team 4 = 65pts.

Expecting many sharpshooters with 6 par 3’s these guys didn’t let us down:-
Hole 3, Mike Whelan, Hole 5, Colin Aves and Terry Wallington and Hole 9, Dave Hooper and Gordon Hutchinson.
Caroline Cherry took the NTP on hole 17.

Please note the changes to the next Amigos fixtures, now Thursday 09 Jun’22, Hacienda Riquelme and 23 Jun’22 at our new venue La Marquesa and Thursday 30 Jun’22 at Roda Golf.
And it would be appreciated if you could all support one of the major local competitions, the JBH Charity Golf Day on Saturday 02 Jul’22.
