Hola Amigos
Thanks for supporting our Amigos game at La Torre today where the cold wind and quick greens certainly caused a few problems for our golfers. A warm welcome to our three newest Amigos: Graeme McKnight, Dan Wilkinson & David Connolly and ‘Welcome Back’ to Andy Veasey & Harold Clarke.
The scoring was not great today (reflected in ‘Standard Scratch’ being reduced by 2 shots) and category 2 had the best individual score of the day.
Category 1 Individual
The only honourable mentions in Category 1 goes to Graeme McKnight (30 pts), but the Category 1 prize winners were:-
Winner : Brian Platt: 32 points 
Runner-Up : Carol Henshall Brown : 31 points
Category 2 Individual
With only 4 scores of 30 in this category too, honourable mentions go to: Hanne Johnslov & An Van den Borre (30 pts) but our prize winners were:-
Winner : Yvonne Verhoeven : 36 points (best score of the day)
Runner-Up : Mike Portlock : 32 points.

The team competition this week was a tough one with a par score of 108pts. Unsurprisingly (given the individual scores) no team achieved this target and the results are given below:

Other team results were: Team 3 = 92 pts, Teams 1 & 5 = 91 pts, Team 2 = 90pts, Team 8 = 85 pts, Team 6 = 73pts.
 
There were no 2’s scored today so €31 goes into the Charity collection.
Our NTP sharp shooters were:
•    Hole 9: NTP in 1 = Elaine Hoffmann
•    Hole 12: NTP in 3 = Brian Platt
•    Hole 16: NTP in 2 = Elaine Hoffmann

Our next game is the Amigos vs Sucina Challenge match at Saurines on Saturday 4/12 followed by our game next Thursday at El Valle, for which we have a few spaces left. If you want to take part in our 2 events over Christmas at Altaona (23/12) and Lo Romero (30/12) then book online asap – they should be great fun and a great deal.
