Hola Amigos,
Wow, what dramatic contrasts in scoring at El Valle today.  Not much difference between the performances in the two Categories, but less than 30% scored 30 points and above, and yet 3 players impressed us all with 40 points each!
Category 1 
You guys are duly and honourably mentioned, Ash Patel, 34 points, Mark Harrison, 35 points and Brian Platt, 36 points. However, on a good day the third Place score would have seen a clear win but that wasn’t today. And even the Runner-Up but you all deserve special mention, especially our category winner.
Winner : Klaus Hummel : 40 points
Runner-Up : Peter Cafferkey : 38 points
3rd Place : Stuart Ellis : 37 points
Category 2 
These guys are deserving of mention, Sus Tonnisen, Lynne Hynd and Stan Lalley, 30 points, Graham Field, 33 points, all well done. Congratulations go to our third Place guy and joining the 40 point club with Klaus are these exceptional golfers:-
Winner : Rudy Ceusters : 40 points (and just winning by virtue of a lower handicap)
Runner-Up : Rob Henshaw : 40 points
Third Place : Vince Mifsud : 34 points
Team Competition 
Clearly a Team including three of the high scorers above would win and they did in spectacular fashion with the stableford bonus point format. Not a good day for the handicappers though.

Runners-Up : Team 10 : 122 points

Other team scores were: Team 5 = 116 pts, Team 7 = 115 pts, Team 2 = 113 pts, Team 6 = 112 pts, Team 8 = 107 pts, Team 3 = 106 pts, Team 11 = 94 pts, Team 1 = 93 pts.

Congratulations, today’s sharpshooters; Nearest the Pin, Hole 9, Josie Aves and Hole 12, Rudy Ceusters but on the money and holing out in two were Garry Elderbrand and Brian Platt.

I hope everyone enjoyed their day and well done to you all for playing a part and supporting Amigos, especially the rookies, and let’s look out for those Players supporting new ‘handicap haircuts’ next time around!  You will find all of the results on the website shortly.
The next two fixtures, Hacienda Riquelme, 10 Mar’22 and Saurines, 24 Mar’22 are full but please do let me know via email should you wish to play as many changes can occur between now and match-day.
We are getting very close to our optimum number for the Amigos Anniversary trip to La Sella on 26/27 May’22 but if we can interest a few more that would be awesome. Please do consider the excursion if you have yet to make up your mind or to arrange dates and transport but please do let us know soonest.
