How nice it was to have some of our ‘returnees’ join us today which made for some interesting pairings. I hope that you found the format both different and interesting for our Individual and Team competitions especially at this now very familiar El Valle course.  Scoring was good today which yielded the following results:
Category 1
Gordon Hutchinson, 36 points is honourably mentioned but congratulations go to our prize winners:-
Winner : Alistair Sporne : 40 points (and best of the day!)
Runner-Up : Dave Hooper : 36 points
Category 2 
I, me, myself gets a mention with 34 points but well played our prize winners:-
Winner : Bob Lancaster : 37 points
Runner-Up : Harry Rice : 35 points
Category 3
Richard Verhoeven gets a mention with 32 points and finishing on equal points the winner just nicks it with a lower handicap:-
Winner : John Mair : 33 points
Runner-Up : Gertie Verschueren: 33 points.

Team Competition 
Scoring was very close but the tied runner-up prizes went to the team with the combined lower handicaps as follows:-
Winners : Team 4 : 88 points
Alastair Sporne, Andrew Smithurst, An Van Den Borre and Gertie Verschueren 
Runners-Up: 83 points
Richard Deeley, Bob Lancaster, Dave Hooper and Dave Hughes

Other team scores were: Team 5 = 83pts, Teams 7 & 3 = 77pts, Team 6 = 76pts, Team 1 = 73pts.

And very well done to the sharpshooters sharing the ‘Two’s Pot’, Alastair Sporne, hole 12 and Graham Field, hole 9.
And well played everyone else not mentioned above.

There are a lot of golf competitions coming up and I trust that you will help all the organisers by supporting them and especially you new arrivals, HR Monday GS, GNK League, Golden Bear Golf Society (Golf at La Torre and dinner at the Bodega, Sucina) and Sucina Golf Society.

Please do consider Amigos away day to Desert Springs on Thursday 24 Jun’21 for a great day out on a great course which from very reliable and recent sources is playing really well. More information will be forwarded soon.  And please note that a forced rescheduling has allowed us the opportunity of playing Lo Romero on Thursday 22 July for €50,00 including buggy!

Amigo’s Tour now sees us playing Las Colinas next week and the start sheet/player list will be sent over the weekend.
