Hola Amigos,
Wasn’t it a glorious day for golf? I am pleased that you all enjoyed the occasion and the introduction of some of you to a great 9-hole course with excellent greens. Those good conditions brought about the best in you with some awesome displays of golf.
In Category 1, very well done and honourably mentioned are: Carol Henshall-Brown, 35 stableford points, Stuart Crump, 37 points who just missed out on a share of runner-up position. But many congratulations to our winners:-
First Place : David Henshall-Brown : 38 points
Runner-Up : Bob Lancaster : 37 points (lower handicap).
In Category 2, Colin Hynd and Patrick Du Mon, 36 points, Rudy Ceusters, 37 points put in fine performances but our winner and runner-up shared the best of the day spot with David Henshall-Brown:-
First Place : Richard MacDonald : 38 points (lower handicap)
Runner-Up : Lynne Hynd : 38 points.
In the blind team competition, all Players 1 formed a team as did all Players 2, Players 3 and Players 4 as noted on the start sheet (with equal handicap totals) and everyone’s individual stableford scores were added up to give the winners, with the inclusion of a couple of ghosts.
It was close, Players 3 total was 188 points, Players 1 total 202 points, Players 2 total 204 points but many congratulations go to your winning Team consisting of:-
First Place : Team Players 4 : 205 points (an average 34+ points per player!)
Colin Hynd, Lynne Hynd, Graham Field, Patrick Du Mon, Dave Hooper and Dave Robinson.
Well played everyone else who took part.
It is looking more hopeful that we may well be able to travel to La Torre for our next game on Thursday 10 Dec’20 (El Valle is on standby if we cannot) so please do keep listening to official announcements this weekend. I will issue the start sheet, which could be delayed, in due course,br as I will be checking on the availability of our out of area Amigos.
I do hope Eddie Beale recovers quickly noting his early injury withdrawal, good luck to Harry Rice with his upcoming surgery and we wish those of you who are leaving us over the next few days an incident free journey, happy Christmas and see you back soon.
Hasta pronto
Graham.
