Hola AMIGOS
It felt like summer had arrived today and what a great golf visit we had to Altaona Village. it was so good to see so many Amigos/Altaona members together again, all in Red Shirts!  I am sure that you found the course better than rumours might have suggested too. But what was your golf like there? Certainly better now that we were less affected by strong winds but let’s find out:-

Category 1 : Individual 
On the whole a very good show with many scores in the 30+ zone.  Honourable mentions are handed out to Iain Stewart, 33 points, John Brown, 34 points and Hans Beque, 35, playing very well.  And your top 3 were exemplary with a best of the day score gaining entry in the Amigos Forties Club.  Congratulations.
Winner : Marc Van Der Cruyssen : 40 points
Runner-Up : Steve Fitzpatrick: 38 points
3rd Place : Kirk Green : 37 points

Category 2 : Individual 
Very respectable returns as well from this division and your honourable mentions go to Andrew Smithurst, 33 points and David Wells, Steve Nicholls and Pauline Wood all having 34 points, you played well.  Your podium places saw some familiar names, congratulations:-
Winner : Gary Conway : 38 points
Runner-Up : Bob Lancaster : 37 points
3rd Place : Harry Rice : 35 points

Team competition
The Stableford 234 format produced some very good combined Team efforts and generally well above the 108 points, standard par marque. Many congratulations go to the top two Teams in the money:-
Winners : Team 11 : 117 points
John Brown, Marc Van Der Cruyssen, Ruud Woudstra and Dave Hughes
Runners-Up : Team 4 : 115 points
Kirk Green, George Long, Bob Lancaster and Rinus de Zwart
Other team scores were: Team 1 = 114pts, Team 6 = 113pts, Team 9 = 110pts, Team 5 = 109pts, Team 7 = 105pts, Team 3 = 103pts, Team 8 = 96pts, Team 2 = 95pts, Team 10 = 93pts.

Your sharpshooters playing exceptional shots on 3 x Par 3’s were Harry Rice, Hole 3, Dave Hughes, Hole 11 and Marc Van Der Cruyssen, Hole 17 and delivering those feel good ‘Two’s’ were Bob Lancaster and Harry Rice on Hole 3 and Mike Dagnall and Nigel Horsefield on Hole 17. Congratulations all.
