ARCHIVED RESULT FROM

Hola AMIGOS
You all love Lo Romero don’t you?
Thank you all for your patience today, it was quite a marathon but at least you know our plans for the rest of the year and 2025 and if you missed anything these will be backed up on the relevant webpages on the website, link below.  The important competitions and dates, however, are recapped below.
But first today’s golf.
Individual Category 1
Very good scoresheets were returned today and Paul Taylor, 36 and Ron Weller and Colin Gallacher, 35 points are honourable mentioned.  It’s always good to have clear cut winners and this one/two combo stood out from the pack but congratulations everyone in this division:-
Winner : Willie Custance, 40 points
Runner-Up : Jon Webster, 39 points
Individual Category 2
Returns, on average, were slightly down on the top division with Dave Hughes, 34 points and John Fox, 36 points mentioned honourably.  Isn’t it criminal that Ken Roche in third place with 40 points could only sit and applaud the first and second finishers with even higher scores!  But all three join the coveted Amigos FORTIES Club, well played:-
Winner : Graham Whant, 42 points (yes, 42 points!)
Runner-Up : Paul Chamberlain : 41 points
Team Competition
Some very good teamwork with many Teams exceeding standard par, 108 points, with a simple 😂 but tricky format and Team 3 are honourable mentioned; Colin Walters, Graham Whant, Simon Hastings and Eddie Murty. Many congratulations go to the winning Team Neighbours and Runners-up:-
Winners : Team 2 : 113 points
Iain Stewart, Jonathon Webster, Gary Conway and Paul Chamberlain
Runners-Up : Team 10 : 110 points
Alan Kilminster, Colin Gallacher, Harry Rice and David Meek
In form sharpshooters were Alan Kilminster (Hole 9, in 2), Graham Whant (Hole 12), Rob Henshaw (Hole 18, in 3) and 2 x Two’s  were recorded, Paul Chamberlain, Hole 5 and Neville Custance, Hole 7. Great golf shots, guys!
