06/01/22 EL VALLE
ARCHIVED RESULT FROM
Hola Amigos
What a return to more ‘normalised golf’ today at El Valle and what a great day it was. Thank you all for your support and wow, there were some good scores despite those Holiday hangovers!
Category 1
As it should be you Category 1 Players returned the better results with a couple of exceptional ‘best of the day’ scores. Gordon Hutchinson, 32 and Lesley Mifsud and Sandra Van Den Steen, 31 points are worthy of being mentioned honourably:-
Winner : Kersten Rammeloo : 39 points
Runner-Up : Paul Taylor : 38 points
3rd Place: Klaus Hummel : 34 points
Category 2
Not so hot scoring-wise, but well done Rod Howarth, 32 points and a three-way 33 point tie put Morag O’Shea in the honourably mentioned column on lower handicap, as we do. The welcome back ‘to golf’ by this category Winner was pleasing to see.
Winner : Dave Hooper : 33 points
Runner-Up : Dave Robinson : 33 points
3rd Place : Morag O'Shea : 33 points
Team Competition
Quite a differentiation in score totals with clear placings but well played:-
Winners : Team 8 : 115 points
Klaus Hummel, Rod Howarth, Vince Mifsud and Dave Robinson
Runners-Up : Team 7 : 109 points
Kersten Rammeloo, Sandra Van Den Steen, Dave Hughes and Maxime Rammeloo.
Other team scores were: Team 1 = 105pts, Team 2 = 100pts, Team 6 = 98pts, Teams 3&5 = 97pts, Teams 4&9 = 90pts.
Congratulations to our sharpshooters today with Gordon Hutchinson and Colin Hynd recording two’s and to our Nearest the Pin hotshots:-
Hole 6, Kersten Rammeloo; Hole 9, Paul Taylor; Hole 12, Lesley Mifsud and Hole 15, Gordon Hutchinson.
And very well played everyone else not listed above.
Please bear with me whilst I reconfirm registrations for our next two oversubscribed games at Las Colinas, Thursday 13 Jan’22 and Mar Menor, Thursday 27 Jan’22.
Please do advise us if you change your golf circumstances, ie., cancelling or renewing GNK memberships, taking out Spain Federation Insurance, walking/buggy use, substantial handicap changes (+/- 1 shot), tee-boxes, etc. so that the database can be updated and the auto generation of start sheets and scorecards can be better managed.
Finally, thank you to our stand-in helpers Dave Hughes, Andrew Smithurst, Tony Syme and Kirk Green you were all a great help!
Hasta luego
Graham
