ARCHIVED RESULT FROM
Feliz Pascuas AMIGOS
What a wonderful turnout today at Roda Golf. It was so good to see so many returnees amongst our ranks. Thank you all for supporting the competition. With almost ideal conditions save a bit of a tricky wind how did you do? Lets see!
The final result sheet shows an average sort of day for both categories except our standout winners. Thank you Captain/Player 1’s for taking on the added pressure of your scores counting on every hole, which may have contributed to the lower totals.
Category 1 : Individual
Mentioned with 33 points are David Ford, Grahame Bradbury and Iain Stewart and honourably so, John Byrne with 36 points, played well. And by a sizable margin our top two returned outstanding scores, many congratulations. The winner also made the ‘Forties Club’
Winner : Andy Wasik : 40 points
Runner-Up : Shane Bordier : 39 points
Category 2 : Individual
Other than our Winner it proved quite tough for this division’s players with nothing of significant to note. However, we’ll give Roger Wood and Sue Lansdell, 32 points apiece and Harry Rice, 33 points a mention. All the plaudits go to the golfer first past the post.
Winner : Rob Henshaw : 37 points
Runner-Up : Bob Lancaster : 34 points
Team Competition
Three Teams exceeded standard par of 108 points and with three scores counting on each hole proving how tough it was for the Captains. Those three Teams made it to the podium though, so many congratulations.
Winners : Team 8 : 115 points
Andy Wasik, Roger Wood, John Burgess and Vince Mifsud
Runners-Up : Team 4 : 110 points
John Boyle, Poul Friis Hansen, Ruud Woudstra and Rob Henshaw
3rd Place : Team 11 : 109 points
Shane Bordier, Sue Lansdell, Kevin Sutton and Dave Hughes
Other team scores were: Teams 5 & 2 = 106pts, Team 12 = 100pts, Team 6 = 99pts, Team 1 = 98pts, Team 10 = 96pts, Team 7 = 94pts, Team 3 = 88pts, Team 9 = 81pts.
Showing us the way to the Flags with class shooting were:-
Hole 11, David Ford; Hole 12 (In 2), Lesley Gilchrist, Hole 13, Harry Rice and Hole 14 (In 2), Shane Bordier. With an almost perfect shot on Hole 13, Harry Rice recorded the only two of the day which was a real gain for the charity Two’s Pot!
Congratulations to everyone else who took part and were not mentioned today.
