Hola Amigos,    
 It was a very, very sad day yesterday, playing golf following the ‘passing’ of Bob Webster on Wednesday, a true golfing gentleman and founder member of Amigos. He would have wanted us to enjoy the continuance of our Thursday golf and I’m sure wishing us the best.

An interesting format had most of you confused yesterday but there was some logic to it and it did make a change to playing on what seems a familiar course to us now.
All 5 x ‘Players 1’ on the start sheet formed a ‘Blind Team’ as did all Players 2, 3 and 4 and the points you gained playing in your individual 4-balls gained points for your blind teams.  And all of the blind teams were equally handicapped.

When combined the results were quite close, Team Players 1 : 47 points, Team Players 3 : 48 points, Team Players 2 : 50 points but a clear winning Team emerged worthy of our congratulations:-
Team Players 4 : 57 points
Terry McCartney, Richard MacDonald, Dave Hooper, Stuart Ince and John Mair.

Most points scored individually by category went to the following Amigos who played extremely well:-
Category 1 : Stuart Ince : 16 points
Category 2 : Steve Fitzpatrick : 13 points
Category 3 : Phil Prince : 16 points
Congratulations to all of you who took part and supported us.

Numbers, as expected, due to the summer temperatures and travel restrictions and quarantines in the UK, Ireland and Belgium in particular have caused some disruptions so if you can join us or are aware of anyone who would like to play at La Torre on 13 Aug’20 and Altaona on 20 Aug’20 please do reserve on-line or let me know as soon as you possibly can.
Maybe, when those of you who knew Bob are playing at Hacienda Riquelme, look left when passing from the 14th green to the 15th Teebox and pay a little respect.
