Hola AMIGOS
You guys took La Finca apart yesterday!  Very well played everyone who played a part and especially the rookies and returnees who made up a full house.  It’s great to see so many happy golfers.  But who did the business:-

Category 1 : Individual
An exceptional show from our elite golfers and such was the competition that John Boyle, 37 points, David Henshall-Brown, 38 points and David Brown and Darren Bakes, 39 points could only get honourable mentions. But all the plaudits went to these guys who will be added to the Amigos Forties club:-

Winner : Gary McAlpine : 40 points (Lower Handicap 11.7)
Runner-Up : Graham Hallifax : 40 points (Handicap 12.6)

Category 2 : Individual
Amazing scoring again in this category where our 1 and 2 also join the Amigos Forties Club, many congratulations and well played, and mentioned are, Iain Stewart 34 points but again no spoils save honourable mentions for Neil Crouch and Graham Booth with 38 points.

Winner : Gail Duffield : 42 points
Runner-Up : Ron Weller : 40 points

Category 3 : Individual
Again, an excellent performance from these Category players with worthy mentions to Carol Henshall-Brown, 33 points and Harry Rice and Bob Lancaster, 34 points apiece. But a great show by our Runner-Up and Winner with a ‘best of the day’ score and jumping right up the Amigo Forties Club ladder with all our congratulations:-

Runner-Up : John Fox : 38 points

Team Competition
With Amigos trade mark Amigos Magic 7’s competition where there are no hiding places, a good score of zero would be the bench mark and with a rogue 20+ winning. This transpired with so many Teams finishing with plus scores and the winning Team meeting the expectation. Congratulations to all:-

Runners-Up :  Team 9 : + 17
Klaus Hummel, Ron Weller, Gail Duffield and Lynn Lalley
3rd Place : Team 1 : + 15

Other team scores were: Team 11 = +13, Team 3 = +12, Team 5 = +10, Teams 12 & 13 = +6, Teams 10 & 4 = +3, Team 2 = -3, Team 6 = -4 & Team 8 = -6.

On their way to accumulating good final scores were these amazing sharpshooters with the closest Nearest the Pin shots; Hole 3, Gary McAlpine; Hole 6, Rob Henshaw; Hole 13, Graham Booth and Hole 16, Graham Whant.  The Grahams managed to convert for their Two’s and a fine result also for a Two from Jon Webster.

Thank you to our Organisers and Helpers, Harry Rice, Dave Hughes, Iain Stewart Bob Lancaster, Brian Platt, Terry Wallington and Mick Lynch.  We take a well earned break, it’s Golden Bear’s show next Friday, before El Valle on 21 Sep’23, which is fully booked as too is the AMIGOS RYDER CUP where we managed to get through the Team draw.
