Hola Amigos,  
Despite the very early start, almost in the dark for some it turned out to be a great day’s golf made better by returning Amigos and with some new players in the mix, with great weather and some exceptional scoring. A full house of 40 players made for a good competition and with a format that left some flummoxed but straight forward once you got used to it!
Individual Category 1
Deserved honourable mentions are well justified in this group with Annette Deeley, 36 points, Steve Jones, 38 points and Klaus Hummel just missing out  of runner-up position with 39 points on a slightly higher handicap. Many congratulations:-
Winner : Dot Jones : 40 points
Runner-Up : Brian Platt : 39 points

Individual Category 2
Not quite as classy as our Category 1 players but still very good scores were recorded by Richard Deeley, 31 points and An Van Den Borre, 33 points and the winners tied for the prizes which were split due to same scores and handicaps. Great show:-
Joint Winners : Ginny Bristo and Bob Lancaster : 36 points

Individual Category 3
Well played David Evans, 32 points, Pauline Stow, 34 points and very good return Nigel Smith, 36 points. But many congratulations to our runner-up and our winner deserves all the plaudits for a best of the day score:-
Winner : Mo Khan : 41 points
Runner-Up : Steve Cockeram : 37 points.

Team Competition 
Anticipating a winning score of 20 we were not far off with this competition but the format exposed how all four players have to get it together and contribute. But well played our winning team who really did get it together:-
Winners : Team 7 : 19 points
Dot Jones, Tony Syme, Rudy Ceusters and Carol Cockeram.
Runners-Up : Team 6 : 11 points (on combined lower handicap)
Steve Jones, Richard MacDonald, Dave Hughes and Mo Khan
Third Place : Team5 : 11 points
Annette Deeley, Dave Hooper, Mark Cochrane and Pauline Stow.

Two ladies proved that they were the sharpest targeteers today, Annette Deeley and An Van Den Borre recording two’s on the 15th hole. And thank you everyone for donating 50% of your two’s pot contribution to the AHB Charity Fund.
