ARCHIVED RESULT FROM
Hola AMIGOS
How disappointing it was to have had to play on a golf course which was not in its best condition today and especially the day before a major 2-day competition with high profile sponsors? Golf Altorreal has a reputation for excellence but this wasn’t the case. We hope though that it didn’t detract too much from your enjoyment of an Amigos event.
So having questioned the conditions how did you play? Well, It was an average sort of day punctuated with stand out category winners.
Individual : Category 1
Modest returns could only see mentions for David Brown and Steve Jones, 33 Stableford points, Terry Wallington, 32 and Paul Taylor, 33 and even the Runner-Up’s score was lower than the norm, but well done everyone. The bright spot was the continued fine form of the HR Masters Ladies Gross Champion, many congratulations:-
Winner : Annette Deeley : 39 points
Runner-Up : Bruce Charman : 33 points (lower handicap)
Individual : Category 2
As for Category 1 scoring was quite modest with Mark Digby and Lynn Lalley, having 32 points and Nigel Horsfield, returning with 33 points and so did the Runner-Up but a lower handicap secured the money. Well done all but there’s no doubting the winner whose score put a shine on the division, congratulations:-
Winner : Gordon Hutchinson : 38 points
Runner-Up : Ron Weller : 33 points (lower handicap)
Individual : Category 3
A few more scores above 30 saw a mention for Sue Horsfield and honourable mentions for Gary Conway, Liz Murty and Lynne Hynd, 34 points and Bob Lancaster, 35 points. Well done all and congratulations to the two runaways of the division:-
Winner : Lee Murfet : 39 points
Runner-Up : Liz McReynolds : 37 points
Team Competition
It was a tough format with better-ball pairs totals giving the Team score. With standard par of 72 and better-ball expectations of 90 only one Team met that goal.
Many congratulations:-

Runners-Up : Team 7 : 83 points
