Hola Amigos,    Thank you all for supporting our little society today and for making our newcomers Margaret Douglas and Martin Hennessy welcome.  I hope that the chaos of start sheet/checking in procedures didn’t affect the occasion with the very last minute and unfortunate withdrawals but we do hope that our unwell Amigos recover quickly.   What a glorious day it was for golf, however, with the exception of a few scintillating scores, most people seem to be still recovering from the recent Holidays?   In the individual Category 1 (h/cap 6-21) honourable mentions are apportioned to Kersten Rammeloo, 32 stableford points, Jim Douglas, 35, Andy Wasik, 36 but wow, with an unbelievable score your winner is Werner Johnslov with 40 points!   And, in Category 2 (h/cap 22-33) hardly honourable are the mentions for Graham Platts and Eddie Murty, 32 stableford points apiece and Dennis Morrison with 33, in comparison to Richie Worsley who had an astonishing 47 yes 'Forty Seven' Points!  (And, pushing Werner into second place with his awesome score!) The last time he played he needed all of his shot allowance to get nowhere.  As a reward Rich can expect at least a full SIX point cut in his handicap for next time!   In the Team stableford Competition, when standard par is 96 stableford points, only the first two teams achieved this.   Winners Division 1 : Team 6 : 108 points:-  Jim Douglas, Richard Deeley, Rod Howarth and Werner Johnslov.   Winners Division 2, and overall Runners-Up, Team 1 : 102 points:-  Bob Webster, Dave Hooper, Graham Field and Rich Worsley.   Even though there were some higher scores the Division Ladies Winners, with 83 points were:-  Amanda Hinchcliffe, Hanne Johnslov, Liz Murty and Irene Rowley.   Good target shooting came today from, nearest the pins:- Hole 5 (in 2):-  Bob Lancaster,  Hole 6:-  Bob Lancaster,  Hole 7 (in 3):-  Werner Johnslov,  Hole 11 (in 2):-  Phil Watson,  Hole 12:-  Liz Murty,   Hole 13 (in 3) Rod Howarth,   In all a very good day for Rich Worsley and the Johnslov’s.
