It was tough out there today wasn’t it?  The format, course and the wind contrived to keep scoring low and apart from a few exceptions that is exactly what happened.  Let’s see who did well though as the medal strokes were converted to stableford points to give the Individual outcomes as a Stableford score:-
Category 1
Caroline Cherry, 34, Lesley Mifsud, 33 and Kersten Rammeloo and Hans Nout, 32 are hereby honourably mentioned.  But many congratulations go to our top podium player:-
Winner : Sam McReynolds : 35 points
Category 2
An Van Den Borre, 34 and Gordon Hutchinson, 32, you did well but with an outstanding score in those difficult conditions and best of the day by a mile, congratulations:-
Winner : Lynn Lalley : 38 points
Category 3
Richard Verhoeven, 31 and Nigel Smith, 32, you were OK but what a long time since this guy found his winning touch, well done:-
Winner : Brian Stobbs : 33 points

Anticipating scores less than standard par of 18 points for this ‘Medalford’ competition 4 out of 9 Teams exceeded the target, so well played but the Team that took that score apart was:-
Winners : Team 3 : 11 points

Runners-Up (after a 3-way tie, but on lowest combined handicaps) : 
Team 10: 14 points

Other team scores were: Teams 1 & 7 = 14pts, Team 8 = 19pts, Team 4 = 20pts, Teams 2, 5 & 9 = 23pts

As you must all know by now the next Amigos competition is at La Marquesa on Thursday 23 Jun’22 a new course for most of you but well worth the adventure!  Following that we play Roda Golf on Thursday 30 Jun’22, always popular. There are one or two places available so please register straight away if you need a new challenge.
And please do not forget the JBH Charity Competition on Saturday 02 Jul’22 at Hacienda Riquelme, the largest charity event in our area in which the dedicated Organisers work tirelessly in raising thousands of euro for a mix of local and national causes. Finally thank you Organisers Dave Hughes moneyman, Harry Rice First Tee-boy and Bob Lancaster who did so well computerising the scores. We will see Brian back in autumn but he will always be present dealing with all of the background golfing stuff.
