What a great day out at Golf Altorreal?  A big thank you to all who participated whether you managed to share in the prizes or not.  It was great to see so many regulars, irregulars and new faces supporting Amigos.
Category 1
As usual the scores showed the class of players in this category with honourable mentions only to Alan Snowden, with 34 points and Annette Deeley, 36 points. But fine stand out performances from two players, and best of the day could only be decided by a lower handicap. Many congratulations:-

Runner-Up : Paul Taylor (h/c 12.5)
Category 2
Great to see quality performances by newbies and returnees on an unfamiliar track to most in this category.  Richard Deeley, 30 points and Caroline Cherry, 33 points are hereby mentioned and well done our podium winners and first place sharing best of the day.

Runner-Up : Mike Portlock : 35 points
Category 3 
John Fox and Graham Field 30 points are only just mentioned but well played our winner and guest:-
Winner : Bob Lancaster : 32 points
Runner-Up : Tony Dance : 31 points.

Team competition 
No team managed the standard par level of 108 points, maybe the quirky very pale blue box players scores had something to do with it!  But this was a very close affair with prizes going down to third place. Your winners eclipsing the opposition, just, are:-

Annette Deeley, Paul Taylor, Lydia Molynieux and Anthony Grey
Second : Team 1 : 105 points
Alastair Sporne, Bob Lancaster, Tony Foster and Andrew Smithurst

Other team scores were: Team 6 = 102 pts, Team 9 = 99 pts, Team 2 = 98 pts, Team 7 = 91 pts, Team 3 = 90 pts, Team 4 = 89 pts, Team 10 = 81 pts. 

At last the well endowed ‘Twos Pot’ fell after a couple of rollovers and the recipient sharpshooters were Annette Deeley and Mike Portlock. Many thanks to those who previously contributed to bump up the pot!
