Thank you all for supporting our Amigos Golf Society today and for making our first of many visits to El Valle in the next few weeks such an enjoyable experience. It was so good to see so many new faces and ‘long time no see’ faces join our regulars and irregulars.

Scoring was good today on the whole with a couple of outstanding individual efforts.
In Category 1, honourable mention goes to Terry Wallington with 33 stableford points and very well done Lydia Molyneux with 36 points, but deservedly taking all the plaudits for the best score of the day was:
Winner : Bradley Rees : 41 points
In Category 2, honourable mentions for Dave Hooper and Brian Stobbs both with 34 points but very well done to our lady champion:
Winner : Caz Clarke : 35 points
In Category 3, Eddie Murty, 34 points and Pat Gingell and Richard MacDonald, 33 points all receive honourable mentions, but another cracking score was recorded by:
Winner : Nigel Smith : 39 points.

Some great team handicapping saw only 15 points separate all 9 x 4-balls in and around standard par of 108 points for this format. Well played all teams and especially the teams exceeding that standard.
3rd Place : Team 5 : 108 points

Runners-up : Team 3 : 109 points.
David Henshall-Brown, Paul Baxendale, Mike Whelan and Patricia Gingell.

Winners : Team 8 : 110 points
Henry Gill, Lydia Molyneux, Graham Field and Nigel Smith.

Other team scores: Team 1 = 104 pts, Team 6 = 103 pts, Team 7 = 102 pts, Team 9 = 100 pts, Team 4 = 98 pts, Team 2 = 95 pts.

We look forward to our forthcoming and many visits to El Valle, which is always in splendid condition, and note also in looking further ahead that we have re-scheduled a Hacienda Riquelme Competition to Altaona Village on 05 Nov’20 where we were so well looked after in August.
