What a great return to Hacienda Riquelme?  Thank you for making our new recruits and long time returnees so welcome and It appeared that you were all enjoying yourselves on the terrace but what were your golf performances like?
Category 1 : Individual 
As it should be in this category some good scores, some very good scores and indeed some excellent scores were recorded.  Emmett Loftus, 35 points, Dot Jones, 36 points are honourably mentioned a long with Steve Jones who might have won on another day with his 39 points.  We are delighted to welcome our one and two to the Amigos ‘40’s’ Club for their inspired performances.

Runner-Up : Peter Cafferkey : 41 points
Category 1 : Team
Any Team having winning individuals in it is bound to be a strong contender for the prize and so it proved.  With a standard par of 108 points, tough enough with this 2-3-4 Waltz format, this Team murdered it!

Category 2 : Individual 
Mixed results were recorded on the returns, some good, some not so good but the podium place scores were excellent and another Amigo joins the ‘Forties Club’, well done.  Dave Robinson, Robbo, 34 points, and Stan Lalley and Sus Tonnisen, 35 points you are also honourably mentioned in this category.

Category 2 : Team
What an effort from the winning Team, a really stand out and commendable performance for this category.

Today’s sharpshooters were awesome, particularly our birthday girl An van den Borre, claiming two Nearest the Pins, Hole 5, Hole 7 and a ‘Two’ also on Hole 7!  Emmett was up for It too, also claiming two Nearest the Pins, Hole 6 (In 2) and Hole 18 (in 3).  Congratulations too to Henrik Tonnisen for the fifth Nearest the Pin, Hole 17 and two further ‘Two’s’ for Kersten Rammeloo on Hole 5 and Carol Brand on Hole 15.

Congratulations to everyone else who played a part and made the competition so enjoyable. I will be sending out details for the next two events shortly, Amigos regular competition to Hacienda del Alamo on Thursday 24 Nov’22 and Harry Rice’s Team to play in the annual Matchplay against Sucina Golf Society on Saturday 26 Nov’22.  We want everyone who has registered to play in at least one of these events. We have two further competitions on GNK Courses coming up in early Dec’12 before closing out the year with trips to Villamartin on Thursday 22 Dec’22 and the special event on Thursday 29 Dec’12 at Las Colinas!
Please emails us to be put on a reserve list if showing ‘fully booked’, there always remains a possibility that you will make it to the starting grid!
