Hola Amigos, 
It was great to get back to playing competitive Amigos golf after quite some time away so thank you everyone for your support and especially our latest members Vincent Brison and Richard and Yvonne Verhoeven.  I hope you all enjoyed your golf day.

Everyone seems to love this well looked after 9-hole golf course and with the weather being ideal scoring was expected to be good.  It proved not to be just good but awesome with 19 players scoring over 30 points and 9 players par and over in a field of 24 players!

In Category 1 
John Burgess is honourably mentioned with 34 stableford points but the prize money goes to:-
Winner : Colin Hynd : 39 points and
Runner-Up : Dave Hughes : 37 points.

In Category 2 any one of these players might have expected to win but only honourable mentions are in order for Richard Verhoeven, 37 points, Hanne Johnslov, 38; Graham Field, 39 and yes even Rudy Ceusters with 40 points! So many congratulations go to our prize winning ladies:-
Winner : An van den Borre : 42 points and
Runner-Up : Liz McReynolds : 41 points.

All of the Teams comfortably exceeded standard par of 85 but the team to smash that target and worthy prize winners were:-
Winners : Team 1 : 116 points
An van den Borre, Rudy Ceusters, Richard Verhoeven and Yvonne Verhoeven.

Runners-Up : Team 2 : 109 points
Mark Seed, Sharon Seed, Dave Hughes and Hanne Johnslov.

Other scores were: Team 6 = 104 points; Team 3 = 103 points; Team 4 = 100 points and Team 5 = 97 points.

As our next Amigos competition scheduled for Las Ramblas remains, regrettably, still out of bounds to us we have provisionally booked Altaona Village on Thursday 25 Feb’21. Anti-covid measures still thwart our choices but at Altaona we will now be able to play 20 holes there for the same price as 18 and lets hope that the bar will be open!
