Hola AMIGOS
There are always Amigos who want to play in the Summer and we are happy to provide the opportunity for you. And you turned out in numbers, regulars, irregulars, returnees, newbies and GNK faces not seen for a while, your support is always appreciated.
Improving greens and fairways helped the overall appearance and playability of the course but despite a few technical difficulties your returns were only modest. But how did you do Individually and were you in the prizes? Let’s see.
Category 1 : Individual 
Good, less good and average is a fair reflection, but forget the dizzy heights of Vistabella last week, save one Amigo, however, with an outstanding score and in a class beyond us lesser golf mortals. Congratulations everyone in this category and especially Ron Weller, 32 Stableford points, Russell Fisher, 33 and Greg Colclough 34 points who are honourably mentioned. All hail the winner though:-
Winner : Andy Reeves : 41 points
Runner-Up : Gordon Hutchinson : 35 points

Category 2 : individual 
You players faired slightly better being somewhat more consistent with just the odd point or two separating the winners. Well played Simon Hastings, 32 points and Vincent Brison and Graham Field are honourably mentioned with 34 points. Congratulations to the podium scorers:-
Winner : Paul Best : 37 points
Runner-Up : John Fox : 36 points

Team Competition 
A game of mixed fortunes with half the field not meeting standard par of 90 points with the Odds and Evens format, but the other half exceeding it beyond expectations. Well played everyone and especially the winning Teams:-
Winners : Team 3 : 106 points
Gordon Dow, Andy Reeves, Gordon Hutchinson and Vincent Brison
Runners-Up : Team 1 : 102 points
Greg Colclough, Mike Kitchen, John Fox and Aiden McCrory (Ghost)

Other team results were: Team 2 = 100pts, Team 4 = 95pts, Team 7 = 88pts, Team 5 = 86pts, Teams 6 & 8 = 81pts.

No Nearest the Flags this week and the Charity Pot thanks you all for not recording any ‘Two’s’!
We’ll take you to La Torre on Thursday 25 Jul’24, and El Valle, on Thursday 22 Aug’24 for you GNK Members and sandwiched in between is Altaona Village on Thursday 01 Aug’24. We will let you know about Torre Pacheco Golf and Lunch on Thursday 08 Aug’24 as all Organisers seem to be away.
