Thank you for your patience this morning whilst we unravelled an exceptional circumstance that effected the start sheet, playing partners and Teams. But we got through it and hope that, putting on one side the poor playing quality of the greens, your introduction to this course was appreciated and maybe give it another go at some other time of year?
Despite the above, your results at Campoamor were very impressive compared to last week with 60% scoring 30 points and over!

Kirk Green, Lynn Lalley, Steve Hughes, 32 points, Dave Robinson, 33 points and Jamie Allam, 34 points you are all hereby honourably mentioned. But the podium places were well claimed by:-

Andrew Smithurst, 32 points and a whole host of you managed a very ‘good day at the office’ score of 35 points, viz., David Meek, Dave Robinson Robbo, but lowest countback determined the winners:-
- Winner : Bob Lancaster : 35 points (on c/b)
- Runner- Up : Eddie Murty : 35 points (on c/b)

Team Competition
Looking for scores in excess of standard par of 108 points, with 3 scores counting on each hole 3 Teams managed it but your comfortable number ones and a clear 6 points ahead of the field are:-
Team 1 : 120 points
- Malcolm Weaver, Bob Lancaster, Vince Mifsud and Stan Lalley (Ghost)
Other team scores were: Team 2 = 114pts, Team 6 = 112pts, Team 3 = 106, Team 4 = 97pts, Team 5 = 95pts, Team 7 = 94pts

Despite the good scoring there were no sharpshooters today, maybe the 200 yards + par 3 lengths had something to do with it! However, the Charity does benefit from your contributions!

The turnout for this hot summer competition was very pleasing, it makes for a better game, so let’s do it again at Saurines on Thursday 25 Aug’22 and La Torre on Thursday 01 Sep’22? Please register or let me know. After that we go into high season and play some of the best courses in the area but if you haven’t booked the reserve list is now quite long, apologies.
