Thank you all for supporting Amigos today even though it was golf only with no bar and presentation but what a transformation in weather conditions from the previous week’s washout at Altaona, in fact near perfect golfing conditions. This led to some good golf generally and very impressive in a few cases. I think that you are all getting very comfortable playing this course?

The results are as follows with prizes for the first three places in the individual categories and winners and runners-up in the Team competition.

Category 1 Individual:

Runner-Up : Gordon Hutchinson : 36 points

Third place : Rod Howarth : 32 points (with lower handicap)

Winner : Richard MacDonald : 42 points (forty two points!)
Runner-Up : Claire Egan : 41 points (forty one points!)
Third place : Lynne Hynd : 30 points.

Team competition:

Other team scores were: Team 5 = 110, Team 3 = 108, Team 6 = 107, Team 8 = 101, Team 3= 93, Team 9 = 91.

Many congratulations to all of our prize winners, especially Richard and Claire, and well played everyone else. Your prize monies will be held until we can formally hand over at a forthcoming game.

There is no Amigos golf competition next week as it’s SGS Golf Society and Golden Bear Golf Society competitions so our next game is scheduled for Hacienda del Alamo on Thursday 26 Nov’20. Please be aware however, that this is subject to the current municipality travel ban, which has been extended along with bar and restaurant closures, until 22 Nov’20, being lifted as per current announcements. If the ban is extended I will endeavour to arrange a golf course elsewhere but within our travel  limits.

Please do book on-line in anticipation as I would love you all to join us at Hacienda del Alamo for a real change and on more familiar territory if the ban continues.
