12/12/24 LAS COLINAS
ARCHIVED RESULT FROM
Hola AMIGOS
Now is this beginning to be a habit!? Many Congratulations Ron Weller on your brilliant tee-shot that resulted in a HOLE-IN-ONE on the Par 3, 7th Hole, today at Las Colinas.
A truly memorable occasion. And, let’s not forget Lucy Hole, a true talisman for playing in the same 4-balls as all of our recent Hole-in-One recipients!
Despite this overwhelming feat how did you play this golf course? Let’s see…….
Individual Category 1
Quite modest returns, actually, with only one standard par score, but this was good enough to win this division. It doesn’t necessarily take 40+ points to win every week. I can mention in passing 4 x scores on 33 Stableford points, Kevin Batchelor, Reg Hole, Clive Norkett and Tony Syme. Well played everyone and congratulations to the podium finishers:-
Winner : Sam McReynolds : 36 points
Runner-Up : John Gregory : 35 points (handicap 4.0)
3rd Place : Andy Duffield : 35 points ( handicap 11.3)
Individual Category 2
Slightly more modest returns from our Division 2 Golfers and despite the good playing conditions the golf course was playing tough and especially the fast greens. Well played Rudy Ceusters, 31 points and Steve Nicholls, 32 points, you are mentioned and honourably so Liz McReynolds (handicap 28.7) just missing out on the prizes via a slightly higher handicap. Congratulations to all who played in this league:-
Winner : Gary Conway : 36 points
Runner-Up : Wayne Goodwin : 35 points
3rd Place : Graham Field : 34 points (handicap 24.3)
Team Competition
With this format of Two’s and NTP Fours, we were looking for 92 as standard par and nearly half the four-balls achieved this and better, so, some really good combinations were put together. Well done the prize winning Teams and your scores were as follows:-
Winners : Team 4 : 101 points
Dan Stallard, Ilona Gregory, Gary Conway and Wayne Goodwin
Runners-Up : Team 5 : 97 points
Jonathan Webster, Kevin Batchelor, Steve Nicholls and Rudy Ceusters
3rd Places : Team 7 : 96 points
Lucy Hole, Ron Weller, Mo Khan and Sarah Khan
Other team scores were: Teams 8 & 12 = 95pts, Team 5 = 93pts, Teams 1 & 10 = 92pts, Team 11 = 86pts, Team 2 = 85pts, Team 9 = 84pts, Team3 = 82pts, Team 13 = 77pts.
There’s no doubting THE sharpshooter today but other Amigos had good shots too! Well played Gail Duffield, Hole 5, Ron Weller, Hole 7, Lucy Hole, Hole 10, Martin Donohoe, Hole 14 and Clive Norkett, Hole 17 getting closest to the Nearest the Pin Holes (or in!) and for the Two’s Pot great shooting Steve Fitzpatrick, Hole 7 and Martin Donohoe, Hole 14, oh, and that ace Ron Weller!
Thank you all for your support and patience.
