Wow, you AMIGOS were really treated today!  What a great day, an amazing course in exceptional condition, greens that you could use billiard cues on, great weather, great company and all in all a great recipe for some great golf.  And you truly delivered in great style with some exceptional scoring!

Gordon Hutchinson, 32, Sam McReynolds, 35, and Lesley Gilchrist, 36, you are hereby honourably mentioned but the two best golf scores of the day and fighting it out for the winner’s podium, the eventual winner by virtue of a lower handicap, 10.2/11.9 many congratulations:-

Runner-Up : Paul Taylor, 40 points
Category 2 : Individual

Brian Stobbs, 33 and Sylvia de Zwart, 33, John Millroy, 34, Rudy Ceusters and Eddie Murty, 35 didn’t let standards slip. But many congratulations go to our two prize winners who couldn’t be separated on points total, handicap, shots and only then on the last few holes count back:-

It takes skill to shoot a 2 and get Nearest to the Pin, especially on the treacherous Hole 17 but these guys showed their metal. Well done target shooters Paul Taylor, Lesley Gilchrist for their 2's and Alastair Sporne for winning the NTP.
Well played everyone who took part and supported Amigos today and please do refer to the website to check your own performances.
The ‘big one’, Amigos Anniversary Cup, at La Sella comes up next but you will receive even more information shortly and please do bear in mind La Torre on Thursday 02 June and a first time visit to La Marquesa (at Quesada, just the other side of Torrevieja) on Thursday 09 June.
Thank you to all of our rookies, guests, golfers returning from injury and all the Amigos Organisers and especially our guest Starter, Liz Murty.
Hasta pronto
Graham
