Hola AMIGOS
You guys seem to love MARMITE or VEGEMITE! The love it or loathe it Las Ramblas golf course seemed to prove very popular today and thank you everyone who ventured out in the summer heat to play it and support Amigos. Especially you rookies. I think that taking the Individual element out of the equation on a very tricky course this time was prudent but the Team game 'Stableford 50 Countdown’ format still proved to be a fun golf challenge. But how did the Teams perform?

Team Competition
With bonus points added we were looking for over 50 plus points and 63 met standard par. Your returns showed very good attempts at these targets. And Team 4’s 59 points is worthy of an honourable mention. Well done Dave Maskens, Andy Reeves, Steve Cipriano and Wayne Goodwin. But all the plaudits went to these top Teams, congratulations:-

The ‘Two’s Pot’ Charity Box thanks you all for not recording any two’s this week! But the Nearest the Pin target shooters showing an extra touch of class were Hole 4 (In 4), Ruud Woudstra; Hole 5 (In 2), David Henshall-Brown; Hole 6, Tiina Hurst; Hole 7 (In 3), Steve Cipriano and Hole 9 (In 2), Paul Sawyers.

Golden Bear competition is next Friday but your next Amigos treat is a workout at Lo Romero on Thursday 27 Jul’23! And, with more gentle workouts coming up in August at Torre Pacheco, La Torre, Campoamor, Altaona Village and Golf Altorreal. You’ve experience summer golf now, pretty much as hot as it gets, so register please for these upcoming games.
The Lo Romero competition will also be the venue for the announcement of the Amigos RYDER CUP Captains and Player Pool. Not to be missed.
