Thank you all for supporting Amigos at La Torre and welcoming back Colin and Lynne Hind and Paul and Janine Sawyers and Stephen Day. Well how was the golf today? Modest, but with one or two Individual and Team bright spots.

In Category 1 Mark Seed, 32 points, is honourable mentioned but well done your winner:-
Terry Wallington : 36 points.

In Category 2 : yours truly, Graham Field, 33 points, is honourable mentioned but well done your winner:-
An  Van Den Borre : 34 points.

In Category 3 as two Amigos tied the winner was selected, as usual, on lower handicap and well done Eddie Murty and also your eventual winner:-
Harry Rice : 35 points.

In the Team Competition third place was straightforward and a very respectable par score was achieved by:-
Team 2 : 104 points.
Peter Cafferkey, Mick Higgins, An Van Den Borre and Harry Rice.

For first and second places, with both teams finishing with the same below par score and the same front nine and back nines an independent draw saw the the result as follows:- 
Runners-Up, Team 5 : 106 points
John Burgess, Dave Robinson, Bob Lancaster and Lynne Hind

Winners, Team 3 : 106 points
Brian Platt, An Van Den Borre (ghost), Dave Hughes and Nigel Smith.

Other team results were: Team 6 = 100, Team 1 & Team 4 = 98, Team 9 = 97, Team 7 = 96, Team 8 = 95.

Let’s now turn our attention to the upcoming fixtures; Thursday 29 Oct’20 at Las Ramblas; Thursday 05 Nov’20 at Altaona and Thursday 12 Nov’20 at El Valle. Places are available for all but I do encourage you to be expedient for Las Ramblas as match day details have to be submitted to the course urgently.

Also, let’s wish three Amigos leaving for their UK holiday homes, Bradley Rees, Nigel Smith and Brian Platt safe return and thank you for your support.
