Hola Amigos,
Thank you all so much for supporting Amigos which made today a great day.  We do take pleasure in seeing you all enjoy yourselves both on and off the course. We are very pleased to introduce our association with Professional Property Finders and thank David and Carol Henshall-Brown for their support, kind words and prizes.  The new logo certainly enhances the look of the shirt. In our popular and expanding Society we are so pleased to introduce Harry Rice to Amigos inner circle in order to help continue providing our quality service.
One person dominated the golf headlines today, 49 points was not only the best of the day, but totally unheard of in our Society and maybe every other Society playing in Alicante today!
Category 1
Unusually not the best golf from this Category today as a whole but David Brown, 34 points and Rob Buckey, 35 points are mentioned in dispatches. The podium places are well deserved and the winners score was amazing:-

Runner-Up : Emmett Loftus : 36 points

Category 2
Well played Category 2 players where scoring was awesome. Steve Fitzpatrick was up there with 35 points and remaining ‘seated’ but honourably mentioned, Carol Henshall-Brown, 38 points and Phil Brookes, 39 points may plead an injustice!  Many congratulations to our two 40 pointers though!
Winner: Iain Stewart : 43 points
Runner-Up : Graham Field : 41 points

Category 3
What unbelievable scoring!  The best ever! All these Amigos, honourably mentioned would have won easily on another day but the effort wasn’t enough to win prizes. Tony Foster, 37 points, Dave Hughes and Rod Howarth, 38 points, and at last Brian Stobbs having a great day, 39 points
Winner : ROB HENSHAW : 49 (FORTY NINE!) POINTS
Runner-Up : Nigel Smith : 42 points

Team Competition 
Thank you all Player’s 1 who took on the added pressure of having their score counting on every hole.  Looking for standard par of 108 points the lowest was 106 so some great scoring and well done to our winners:-

Runners-Up : Team 8 : 121 points
David Henshall-Brown, Sharon Seed, Gary Conway and Rob Henshaw

Third : Team 6 : 117 points
Terry Wallington, Roger Wood, Ash Patel and Brian Stobbs.

Today’s sharpshooters got close to the pins, Nigel Smith, Hole 7, Harry Rice, Hole 10 (in 3), Ron Weller, (in 2) but not quite good enough to hole out for Two’s!

Thank you everyone else who supported our winners and made them look good, our new Sponsors, Brian Platt for organising all of the new shirts (and so pleased they were so well received), Harry Rice and Dave Hughes, the taxmen, teeboys Terry Wallington and Iain Stewart and Bob on scoreboard. Brian is also a very good Barber, haircut Mr Henshaw?

Please study the newly announced Competition list for 2023 where you will find some exciting courses to play and many, many golf events and you will be able to register from tomorrow for all games including the ‘Anniversary Away Day’ to Mojacar and all special events and competitions. We hope it will help planning your visits to Spain more attractive!

Finally, please remember to let us know of any changes to your membership status, etc., it makes creating start sheets so much easier with the right information.
