Hola todos,   Thank you all for supporting a fixture which was beginning to look doubtful just a few days back but didn’t GNK/El Valle do well to mop up and prepare well for us?   We do appreciate the guys who were ‘rested’ today, especially Liz and Eddie Murty, Dave Hooper, Steve and Carol Cockeram to give others an opportunity to play. And, I hope that newcomers, Caz and ‘H’ were well looked after.   It appears that El Valle is still on the tough side for us with only a third of the field breaking thirty. However mentions go to:-   Category 1 : (Handicap 6 - 18):   Andy Wasik 33 stableford points, David Henshall-Brown 32, Gordon Hutchinson and Mark Seed, 30 points but a clear winner deserving plaudits for his 37 points and neatest scorecard, is Mike Portlock!   Category 2 : (Handicap 19 - 31):   Mentions, only, go to John Fox, 32, Harold Clark and Rudy Ceusters, 31 points but well done Nigel Smith with 34 points.   Category Ladies : (Handicap 14 - 27) Hereby mentioned are Willie Custance, 33 points, Amanda Hinchcliffe and Carol Henshall-Brown, 31 points but many congratulations Irene Rowley, with 35 points.   Many congratulations, also to our Team winners who just managed to exceed standard par of 108 points within a very tough format:-   Team 5 : 109 points:    Mark Seed, Mike Portlock, Caz Clark and Rudy Ceusters.   Running-up with a pretty good score too are:- Team 8 : 107 points:   Neville Custance, Colin Hind, Graham Field and Sue Thompson,     Honourable mentions go to Teams 1 and 2 with 106 points apiece.   Finally, recognising some great nearest the pin sharpshooting today, well done:-   Hole 6, Caz Clarke,  Hole 9, Linda Portlock,  Hole 13 Amanda Hinchcliffe,   Hole 15, Arthur Rowley.   Looking forward to seeing some of you at Alhama Signature next Thursday 30 Jan’20 but please do look through the webpages for the latest news and information.   Hasta Luego Graham. ​ ​
