What a great first for Amigos in taking you to La Marquesa today and judging by the scores some of you liked it more than others! But all in all I hoped you enjoyed being challenged on a new course.
Those that played well were outstanding and those that played not so well were, well I hoped you enjoyed the experience.
Category 1 : Individual
Dave Robinson, welcome back, is mentioned with 32 points and Terry Wallington you were awesome with your 39 points and only missing out to a lower handicap in 2nd Place. And the best score of the day was achieved by a first timer to the course, many congratulations:-
Winner : David Brown : 41 points ;
Runner-Up : Martin Scott : 39 points

Category 2 : Individual
Carol Brand, 32 points and Graham Field, 33 points, we are hereby honourably mentioned. But the displays by our podium golfers were magnificent. Well done:-
Winner : Stefan Agten : 37 points ;
Runner-Up : Lynn Lalley : 35 points

Team Competition
With the ‘Magic 7’s’ format zero is a good score, minus points is a below par performance and anything in the plus column was a good team effort. 4 Teams achieved this so well done the top two:-
Winners : Team 6 : +12 points
Emmett Loftus, Carol Brand, Lynn Lalley and Lee Murfet
Runners-Up : Team 4: +8 points
Klaus Hummel, Dave Robinson, Stefan Agten and Graham Platts.

Other team scores were: Teams 1, 7 & 8 = +3 pts, Teams 2 & 5 = -4pts, Team 3 = -5 pts, Team 10 = -8pts, Team 9 = -14pts.

Today’s Target Shooters were impressive, congratulations on getting closest to the Pins:-
Rob Buckey on the scary Sawgrass green (Hole 16); Martin Scott (Hole 17) and Steve Cherry (Hole 18, in 3)
And, the Two’s payouts went to:-
Terry Wallington (Hole 6); Stefan Agten and Iain Stewart (Hole 12) and Martin Scott (Hole 17)
What an incredible gross 69 achieved by our new Amigo Martin Scott, (handicap 1.1), we are in awe!
Thank you everyone else who took part to make the day so enjoyable and particularly you new Guys Martin Scott, Iain Stewart and Gary Conway and those Amigos not seen for such a long time.

Amigos Tour sees us return to Roda Golf next Thursday 30 Jun’22 (please email me to be added to the reserve list and don’t give up hope as there are generally changes before game day), El Valle, Thursday 07 Jul’22, Lo Romero, Thursday 21 Jul’22 and Hacienda Riquelme on Thursday 28 Jul’22. Summer is usually quieter so please do register for the last three games mentioned, there is availability.
