Hola Amigos,   
Thank you all for supporting Amigos today at Hacienda Riquelme where we had a very good turnout. I think that those of you who have recently arrived in Spain are now aware of what you have been missing!
Today's formats saw some very close competition and the results of which were as follows. In category 1 well done Andy Reeves, 33 stableford points and Stephen Day, 32 points, you are honourable mentioned, but many congratulations, with a sore elbow:-
Category 1 : Winner - Ilham Legzouli : 35 points.

Many congratulations go to our three golfers who tied for the winning category 2 prize; Liz Murty, Carol Cockeram but lowest handicap/countback saw:-
Category 2 : Winner - Dennis Morrison : 34 points.

Wow, in category 3, Bob Webster, 38 points, and thinking he had a good day at the office with 41 points Graham Field’s score was eclipsed by an awesome performance, after a scorecard review:-
Category 3 : Winner - Titine VanderCruyssen : 42 points.

The team format wasn’t as straightforward as first seemed with golfers of all abilities missing opportunities on the two ‘lowest’ scoring/counting holes. Good handicapping saw only 6 points difference between the first six teams.  But very well done:-
Team 3 : Runners-Up : 71 points:-
Ilham Legzouli, Mark Digby, Jamie Allam and Titine VanderCruyssen.

​And, deserving all the plaudits, especially Bob Webster missing out individually but making a stellar performance as ghost ably assisted the only team to break standard par:-
Team 5 : Winners : 74 points
Emmet Loftus, Bob Webster, (birthday boy) Steve Cockeram and Richard MacDonald

Other scores were: Team 2 = 68pts, Team 1 = 67pts, Team 4 = 66pts, Teams 6 & 7 = 65pts.

For those of you who are about in August, its a ‘quiet’ time and there is plenty of golfing opportunity and availability so please do book to play, especially an Amigos first time visit to Altaona Golf on Thursday 20 Aug’20.
I am pleased to say that we are taking a full house to Las Colinas next week, but do add your name to the reserve list as you never know if you have missed out.
