Hola AMIGOS
Thank you all so much for joining us at Hacienda Del Alamo today and contributing to a very successful day of golf.  I don’t think that the playing conditions at this time of year could have been any better.  It is always pleasing to add new players into the mix and we hope that you together with our regulars, irregulars, returnees and those volunteers from the reserve list jumping onto the starting grid at the last minute enjoyed the experience.  How was the golf, though?  Not too bad as a whole but only our winners burned up the course.
Category 1 : Individual 
Gary McAlpine, 32 points, Dot Jones, 34 points and John Burgess, 36 points are hereby honourably mentioned but there was no disputing our final two. Many congratulations:-
Winner : Steve Jones : 40 points
Runner-Up : Brian Platt: 38 points
Category 2 : Individual 
Some excellent returns and Rudy Ceusters, 36 points and Dave Hughes and Sus Tonnisen could only be honourably mentioned with 37 points. 37 points was also the Runner-Up’s score but a lower playing handicap secured the podium place. The winning score was unexpected but brilliant all the same and best of the day. Congratulations to everyone.

Team Competition 
I am sure that most of you had little idea of a winning score with this ‘Magic 7’ format but zero was very very good. Out of 10 Teams only 3 surpassed this and Team 6 you are honourably mentioned with +9 points; John Byrne, Vilma Krinks, John Burgess and Rudy Ceusters. The first and second Teams not only surpassed the zero, however, but left it for dead!  The plaudits are all yours:-
Winners : Team 10 : +15 points
Steve Jones, Bob Lancaster, Dave Hughes and Dennis Radford 
Runners-Up : Team 4 : +13 points
Emmet Loftus, Gordon Hutchinson, John Fox and Brian Stobbs
Other team scores were: Team 9 = -2, Team 2 = -3, Team 7 = -4, Teams 1 & 8 = -5, Teams 5 & 3 = -6.

And today’s sharpshooters on tricky holes targeting the pins were, Hole 10 (In 2), Colin Walters, Hole 11 (In 3) and Hole 12, Steve Jones. Well done the Two’s golfers, Vilma Krinks, Hole 5, Dot Jones and Bob Lancaster on Hole 8 and Graham Field, Hole 15.
For those of you selected by Harry Rice to represent Amigos Team play Sucina Golf Society at La Serena on Saturday we wish you all the best and hope that you Amigos playing for Sucina come in a very close second!
We are now entering December with low season rates so please take advantage by joining us at El Valle on 01 Dec’22 (reserve list) and especially at Alhama Signature on 08 Dec’22 where the course has now been granted a few more months operating extension and don’t forget to join us at Villamartin on 22 Dec’22 and Las Colinas on 29 Dec’22 where we close out the year in some style!
Thank you for your support in our switch to payment by bank transfer which certainly makes it easier for organisation. The next two courses played are GNK  owned and are always too complicated for bank transfer  but it will be more prominent in future competitions.
