Hola Amigos,   
Thank you to all Amigos that supported our special 'Christmas Lights' game at Altaona which proved to be a very successful day. Special thanks to those that took the trouble to create / wear special Christmas facemasks &Jumpers.

The golf was somewhat secondary today as the 'much awaited' appearance of Santa after the game signalled 'goodwill to all', with everyone getting a present from Santa. It was pretty evident that many of the bottles had been emptied before everyone had left the venue with 'jollity & merriment' quickly becoming the order of the day.

A big thank you to John Mair & Graham Field in particular, who went to a lot of trouble to make the day such a success, particulary given that Graham was not present to enjoy it.

We had 37 players for this game where we played a firendly 'Christmas Lights' format where both Men & Ladies played from a mix of Red / Blue & Yellow tees.

Champion scorers were team 1 (83 points): John Burgess, Eddie Beale, Dennis Morrison & Dave Hughes. 

Runners-up were team 6 (81 points): Henry Gill, Hans Nout, Nick Brown & Gordon Hutchinson.

We hope that everyone can join us at El Valle next Thursday 31 Dec’20 where we have our last game of 2020. Thank you all for continuing to supports us and we look forward to seeing you all at our Amigos games in 2021.

Don't forget that from 1st January we will recommence collecting our annual subs and we are pleased to advise that we propose to continue to keep this as a one-off €5 fee for the year.

From January 2021 we will also be adopting the common 'Hacienda Golf Resort' handicaps which have been consolidated across HRGS / Golden Bear & Amigos societies. You may have some small changes to the handicap you play off but, henceforth, any games played for Amigos / Hacienda Riquelme or Golden Bear golf societies will impact your handicap
