Hola Amigos,  
Thanks to all you supporters who made the trip to Hacienda del Alamo and I hope that you enjoyed the day whether you were familiar with the course or having played for the first time.  Your results are as follows:-
Category 1
There was a clear distinction between Category 1 and Category 2 players, class!  Stephen Hurst’s and Peter Kennedy’s 35 points and Alastair Sporne 36 points have only been rewarded with an honourable mention. Many congratulations for the best round of the day go to our this category’s winner and a good under par score was returned by the runner-up:-
Winner : Emmett Loftus : 39 points.
Runner-Up : Gordon Hutchinson: 37 points.

Category 2
Clearly much tougher for you today but having scores in the thirties, mentions go to Andrew Smithurst and Richard MacDonald, 30 points but 31 points proved to be a popular score with 4 people hitting that number: Tiina Hurst, Liz Murty, Dave Robinson snr & Dave Hooper. And well done to our winner, and a fitting prize much applauded on her birthday!
Winner : Liz Murty : 31 points
Runner-Up : Dave Robbo Robinson : 31 points.

Team Competition 
This was generally a close’ish affair with 4 teams recording under par scores but by a significant margin boosted by your individual Category 1 stars and no ghosts were:-
Winners : Team 2 : 101 points
Emmett Loftus, Gordon Hutchinson, Dave Hooper and Liz Murty.

Other scores were: Team 1 = 91 pts, Team 3 = 90 pts, Team 4 = 88 pts and Team 5 = 84 pts.

Nobody was in sharpshooting form on this course so your ‘Two’s Pot’ rolls over to the next game.

Upcoming fixtures see Amigos play at El Valle next Thursday 02 Sep’21 where there are places available but Thursday 09 Sep’21, Golf Altorreal, the Amigos Ryder on Thursday 23 Sep’21 (much more about this shortly) and La Finca on Thursday 30 Sep’21 are full but with reserve lists open only.
