Hola AMIGOS
Honourable mentions are handed out to everyone who supported the competition at Hacienda Del Alamo today enduring those really strong winds and very fast greens where the golf ball only just held its spot!  You were awesome! Are mentions honourable or otherwise handed out for your sporting  golf prowess though?  Let’s see:-
Individual : Category 1 
Well not here!  No honourable mentions, or indeed, mentions, whatsoever.
Conditions were difficult to say the least and 6 shots separated the podium places where only one player, with the best of the day score, managed the elements. However, many congratulations always go to podium finishers.
Winners : Steve Kavanagh : 36 points
Runner-Up : Kirk Green : 33 points
3rd Place : Steve Fitzpatrick : 30 points

Individual : Category 2
Let’s at least give the only mention of the day to Gary Conway with his 30 points and well done the podium winners with a stand out winner and second/third could only be separated only on goal difference! But congratulations.
Winner : Pauline Wood : 35 points
Runner-Up : Paul Best : 31 points (handicap 26.8)
3rd Place : Dave Hughes : 31 points (handicap 28.4)

Team Competition 
As if the elements weren’t enough the 4-3-2 Amigos Dusty Bin format added to our woes, muchas gracias Iain Stewart for that!  Expecting standard par of 108 points, well you didn’t get close, but accept the mitigating circumstances. Well done the prize winners:-
Winners : Team 4 : 101 points
Steve Kavanagh, Del Holloway, Bente Hornshoj Hansen and Pauline Wood
Runners-Up : Team 10 : 100 points
Terry Wallington, Steve Fitzpatrick, Tom Duncan and Dave Hughes
Other team scores were: Team 5 = 96pts, Team 6 = 91pts, Team 8 = 88pts, Team 2 = 87pts, Team 3 = 85pts, Team 1 = 84pts, Teams 7&8 = 73pts.

Two Nearest the Pins, today, saw Phil Brooks, Hole 8 and Steve Kavanagh, Hole 9 (In 4) get closest, well done.  And, the charity Two’s Pot’ thanks you all for not having to pay out anything!

An interesting and varied upcoming fixture list sees us visit Altaona Village next week on Thursday 04 Apr’24; Bonalba, Thursday 11 Apr’24;  Mar Menor on Thursday 25 Apr’24; and moving into May, our Anniversary Cup month Alhama Signature on Thursday 02 Mar’24 and Golf Altorreal on Wednesday 08 May’24. Let’s hope summer brings better playing conditions.
