What a great change it was to play at Roda Golf today with very good conditions and also to socialise away from the course at Yummy’s Bar in the village.  Thank you all for taking part and returning some above average scores.

Category 1
Honourably mentioned are Mark Seed and Dave Robinson Snr. with 34 stableford points but well done the Runner-Up but all the plaudits remain for the Winner with a clear best of the day round, as follows:-
Winner : Dave Maskens : 41 points
Runner-Up : Graham Booth : 35 points.

Category 2
Our Europeans played well today, Hanne Johnslov, 34 points, An Van Den Borre, 36 points but many congratulations go to our Winner and Runner-Up with under par returns:-
Winner : Richard Verhoeven : 39 points, 
Runner-Up : Rudy Ceusters : 37 points


Team Competition
Expecting an average of zero, five Teams exceeded this returning + scores and three returned – scores but all reasonably close. In the prizes today with many supporting congratulations are:-

Runners-Up : Team 1 : +9 points

We return to La Torre next Thursday 06 May’21 and, subject to Regional Border boundary restrictions being lifted, Las Ramblas on Thursday 13 May’21.  Please do come and support these competitions.

And, it’s also getting closer to our big event the Amigos Anniversary Cup to be held at Desert Springs on Thursday 24 Jun’21 so please do support this one as well, put your names down as soon as you can and encourage your friends back home to make sure that they will be in Spain for this one too! We will send out further information and full itinerary shortly but it will be possible to stopover if you so wish.  The Society ‘Stay and Play’ offer, should there be 12-16 players, in new 2-bed, 2 bath golf apartments will be €95,00 and should you take your partner the rate for a non-golfer will be €55,00.  The apartments must be occupied by four people sharing.  If this is of interest please do let me know separately and who you would want to share with.
