What can be said about today’s game at La Torre?  Well let’s forget about it shall we and think more positively about next weeks trip to Lo Romero instead as the results were pretty average with only one return under par out of 30 Golfers! 😂 A tricky wind might have played a part but the temperature wasn’t too bad? Do you really want to know how you performed?  Let’s see:-

Individual Category 1
Not even a mention today but congratulations to your one and two whose scores did stand out from the rest:-
Winner : Kersten Rammeloo : 35 points
Runner-Up : Ken Roche : 34 points

Individual Category 2
Worthy of mention are Tony Derbyshire’s 33 points and Paul Best’s 35 who just missed out on a prize, tying, but with a higher handicap (25.0). Well played and especially the Category’s winners only separated by handicap differences with Paul.
Winner : Lynn Lalley : 35 points (handicap 20.8)
Runner-Up : Bob Lancaster : 35 points (handicap 23.6)

Individual Category 3
Doriano Castellani and Dave Hughes impressed with 34 and are honourably mentioned and to be congratulated are the prize winners especially the overall winner with the only under par score of the day. Well played:-
Winner : H Clarke : 37 points
Runner-Up : Diane Nicholls : 35 points

Team Competition 
As predicted Downsized Stableford is a tough format with the lowest two scores counting on six holes. But well played the Teams that exceeded standard par of 72.
Winners : Team 8 : 79 points
Kersten Rammeloo, Simon Hastings, Dave Hughes and Ken Roche (Ghost)
Runners-Up : Team 6 : 77 points
Tony Derbyshire, Stan Lalley, Liz McReynolds and Harry Rice (Ghost)
And what of Team STEVE?  Let’s pass on that one! Other team cores were: Team 3 = 75pts, Team 4 = 70pts, Teams 1 & 7 = 68pts, Team 5 = 65pts, Team 2 = 58pts.

What was exceptional on the day though were you Amigos; regulars, irregulars, returnees and rookies all blending together to make for an enjoyable post game reception.
