What a real treat for you all today at Las Colinas where everything was set up for a great day and it was! Thank you all for your patience, especially you early starters which cannot be helped as so many of you want to play!
It was good see so many old and new faces and guests of course, but especially welcome was Dennis Radford, sponsor and supporter of our Society.

How did you all perform?  Well you might have blitzed Vistabella last week but it was one up for Las Colinas golf course this week.
Category 1 : Individual 
Moderate scoring today and Annette Deeley, 34 points and Ron Weller, 33 points are mentioned in dispatches but many congratulations go to our 1 and 2:-
Winner : Gordon Hutchinson: 38 points,
Runner-Up Bradley Rees: 36 points.
Category 1 Team
Returning the best better-ball Pairs Team score of the day were, with many congratulations:-
Winners : Team 1 : 84 points
Annette Deeley, Jill Sheridan, Bradley Rees and Roger Wood
Other Cat 1 team results: Team 3 = 77pts, Team 2 = 75pts, Team 12=73pts
Category 2 : Individual 
Not spectacular scoring in this division either but just doing enough to be mentioned are, Mick Lynch, 31 points and 33 points was shared by three players. On the higher handicap Peggy Gijsels just missed the podium and our number two missed out too.
But very well done:-

Runner-Up : Graham Booth 33 points
Category 2 : Team
Closely matched pairs saw close results and after a a count up of the four-ball player handicaps Team 5 were edged out by our winners:-
Winners : Team 6 : 81 points
Steve Fitzpatrick, Ken Sewell, An Van Den Borre and Hanne Johnslov
Other Cat 2 team results: Team 5 = 81pts, Team 9 = 79pts, Team 7=76pts, Team 13=67pts
Category 3: Individual 
Mentioned for good scoring are Richard Deeley and Rod Howarth, 33 points and John Fox just missed out on a higher handicap with 34 points.  But a very good days work was put in by this winner:
Winner : Tiina Hurst : 37 points
Runner-Up : Nigel Smith : 34 points
Category 3 Team
With the second best Team in the competition on the day but best in category 3 and taking the plaudits and supported by his guests are:-
Winners : Team 11 : 83 points
Simon Packard, Rod Howarth, Gordon Hutchinson and John Dolan
Other Cat 3 team results: Team 4 = 80pts, Team 8 = 76pts, Team 10=64pts

Two’s : Hole 5, Annette Deeley, Hole 7, John Dolan, Ron Weller, Stuart Alexander; Hole 10, Henk Alink and Graham Booth; Hole 17, Annette Deeley.
