Hola Amigos,    
Thank you all for supporting us at Las Ramblas today and making our new members and returnees so welcome and what a glorious day it was to play golf. This is a somewhat of a marmite course, love it or hate it, but most of you seem to love it!
However, the scores did not appear to be as memorable as the occasion and environment but I am sure those of you who have never played there will want to come back as you now no where you are going!

There were no deserving honourable mentions today but many congratulations go to our individual winners and runners up:-
Category 1
Winner : Dave Maskens : 32 points and Runner-Up : Terry Wallington : 31 points.
Category 2
Winner : Rich Worsley : 32 points and Runner-Up : Dave Hughes : 31 points.

In the Team Competition we were looking to exceed standard par of 88 points and one team achieved this, so many congratulations to:-
Winners : Team 2 : 92 points
Stephen Day, Graham Booth, Dave Hughes and Graham Field
And well very done to:-
Runners-Up : Team 3 : 86 points
Gordon Hutchinson, Dave Robinson, Graham Platts and Rich Worsley 
Indeed well done to everyone who took part and the other team results were as follows: Team 6 = 84, Team 1 = 82, Team 7 = 72, Team 4= 69 & Team 5 = 68.

Whilst we all understand that Murcia’s external borders are to be closed from tonight for a minimum of 14 days and also its Municipalities confined we do not know clearly what the limits are on where we can play golf over the next two weeks of this current lockdown.  Please be assured that we will do everything we can to arrange our Thursday Amigos golf at the present venues if safe to do so and will let you know.  Unfortunately some of you will not be able to cross these borders.
 
The upcoming and scheduled games are Altaona Village on Thursday 05 Nov’20 and El Valle on Thursday 12 Nov’20 so if you need to add your name to the current list, if you haven’t already done so or feel anyway uncomfortable playing then please do let me know straight away. Please keep checking the website for updates and I will keep you posted via email too.

And, regrettably another unfortunate consequence of the pandemic is that El Cason will temporarily close from Monday 02 Nov’20 official sources have revealed. But let’s all look forward to playing again soonest and for those returning to their UK holiday homes hasta pronto!
