Generally you played well at New Sierra Golf today but when you got that feeling you were awesome and 4 entries go straight into Amigos Forties Club virtual records!
Individual Category 1
On any other golf course 39 Stableford points would easily have been a winning score but not today, such was the competition in this category! I can only give you, Gail Duffield and Mike Portlock, honourable mentions, alongside Lucy Hole and Ron Weller, 38 points, David Henshall-Brown, 37 points and Andy Duffield and Terry Wallington 36 points. Many congratulations you guys but all the plaudits go to the 40 and above scorers. A welcome back to form for the winner and back to Hacienda Riquelme for the Runner-up. Very very well played.

Similar scoring occurred in this division too with scores that might have won on another day could only get Lynn Lalley and John Fox, 37 points, honourable mentions. Harry Rice, 36 points, Carol Henshall-Brown and Ken Sewell, 35 points are also mentioned along with Carol Brand and Graham Field. Well played everyone in this division. Team Competition
You all gelled well as Teams and with a tricky variation on a Waltz 11 out of 12 Four-balls exceeded standard par of 108 points. Very played all Teams and especially the one/two.
But first an honourable mention Team 3, David Henshall-Brown, Mike Portlock, Harry Rice and Eddie Murty with 118 points But congratulations:-

Other team scores were: Team 11 = 118pts, Team 7 = 115pts, Team 9 = 114pts, Teams 4&2 = 112pts, Team 1 = 111pts, Teams 5&10 = 109pts, Team 8 = 108pts, Team 6 = 99pts.

With excellent shots into the Par 3’s, John Fox (Hole 3); Graham Hallifax (Hole 6); Ron Weller (Hole 13) and Dave Hughes (Hole 17) were your sharpshooters. In this short game masterclass Rudy Ceusters and Jon Webster (Hole 3); Gary Conway and Ron Weller (Hole 13) and Mark Harrison (Hole 17) showed us how to make 2’s, congratulations.
