The Category 1 players had it today with some great scoring at Roda Golf.  But  the Category 2 players weren’t that far behind and maybe the course conditions helped that scoring despite a tricky wind.
Category 1
For two players, Paul Sawyers and Graham Booth even 37 points couldn’t get a podium place but are honourable mentioned along with Klaus Hummel, 36 points. Many congratulations though go to our winning trio:
Winner : Graham Whant : 39 points and best of the day
Runner-Up : Hans Beque : 38 points 
3rd Place : Mick Hughes : 37 points on lower handicap

In the ‘Two Time Waltz’ Category Team Competition where 108 points was standard par the top two Teams smashed it with 115 points, but only on combined lower team handicap did the first placed team collect the spoils.
Winners : Team 8 : 115 points
Annick D’Anvers, Kersten Rammeloo, Klaus Hummel and Graham Whant
Unlucky Runners-Up also with 115 points were Team 5:
Martin Scott, Andy Reeves, Graham Booth and Hans Beque
Other Cat 1 team scores were: Team 4 = 109pts, Team 2 = 102pts & Team 3 = 99pts.

Category 2
Peggy Gijsels and Dave Hughes, 33 points and Bob Lancaster and Tony Foster, 32 points are honourably mentioned in passing. However the following trio made the prize podium:-
Winner : Dave Robinson (Robbo), 36 points on lower handicap
Runner-Up : Gary Conway : 36 points
3rd Place : Graham Field : 34 points 

In the Team competition the only 4-ball breaking standard par was;
Winners : Team 9 : 109 points
Dave Robinson, Graham Field, Graham Platts and Colin Hewitt
Other Cat 2 team scores were: Team 1 = 105pts, Team 10 = 102pts, Team 6 = 100pts & Team 7 = 89pts.

Well done sharpshooters with your Nearest the Pin efforts:-
Steve Cherry, Hole 7; Rob Buckey, Hole 9 (in 2); Andy Reeves, Hole 13 and Annick D’Anvers, Hole 18 (in 3) 
And the Two’s of the day were shot by Mike Portlock, Andy Reeves and Graham Whant all on Hole 13.
