Hola Amigos,  

What a great day at Las Colinas today, thank you all for your continued support to make this venue memorable. It was good to see our two new players feel comfortable with Amigos as well as seeing some long term returnees amongst you regulars and irregulars. And the golf was outstanding with excellent individual and team performances especially considering that the course was new to some of you.

The results are as follows:-
Category 1:
Well done Gordon Hutchinson, 35 stableford points but many congratulations to our winner today following a stewards enquiry (apologies Nick) who will receive his prize shortly
-    Mick Hughes, 36 points
Category 2:
Great golf from Steve Cockeram, 36 points and honourable mentions Carol Henshall-Brown and Steve Fitzpatrick, 32 points apiece but wow, playing her game of the year (and achieving a 2.7 handicap cut)
-    Caz Clarke, 42 points
Category 3: 
Honourable mentions for a good day at the office Rich Worsely, Titine Vandercruyssen and Bert Ottoy with 31 points each but an exceptional round by our winner, who also collected her Category 3 Winner’s prize from El Valle back in Feb’20 when not available to collect. 
-    Barbara Deroose, 37 points.

In the Team competition when standard par was 108 points, and expecting scores to come in around that number all three teams in the prizes exceeded that, one smashed it and one completely annihilated it, what superstars!
3rd Place : Team 6 : 109 points
-    Anne Prince, Dave Hooper, Terry McCartney and Rich Worsley.

Runners-Up : Team 4 : 123 points:-
Mick Hughes, Els Delaere, Steve Cockeram, and Barbara Deroose.

Winners : Team 7 : 137 points (Yes, one hundred and thirty seven points!):- 
Dave Robinson, Marc Vandercruyssen, Caz Clarke and Phil Prince.

Other team results were: Team 5 = 107pts, Team 1 = 102pts, Team 8 = 100pts, Team 3 - 98pts, Team 2 = 95pts, Team 9 = 93pts.

I hope that I can look forward to seeing many of you at our summer competitions at El Valle, La Torre, Altaona and Saurines in early September. Please do add your name via on-line bookings if you can make it and/or you are stranded here and let me know of any other change of circumstance.
