I think that we can now dispel all of the gossip, rumour, innuendo and disparaging comments surrounding ALHAMA SIGNATURE, you have now experienced it first hand and must agree that it rightfully belongs on our golf circuit.  Under the new Owners you can see the investment that has gone into the course and watch what is going to be developed next year!
Did you play it like you once did?  Let’s see.

Category 1 : Individual
The class golfers always shine through wherever they play and there were some excellent scores and a few mediocre ones two.  Well played and honourably mentioned are Poul Friis Hansen and Colin Hynd, 37 stableford points and Vilma Krinks and Alan Kilminster, 35 points.  But many congratulation the top two with another entry into the Amigos Forties Club for the winner:-
Winner : Colin Walters : 40 points
Runner-Up : Jonathan Thompson : 38 points

Category 2 : Individual
Not so clever and I think that a few more rounds here will up the confidence. Only one mention of note above 30 points was Peter Barris with 32 points.  However there are always exceptions and the top two played great golf with, again, the winner joining the Amigos Forties Club:-
Winner : Henrik Tonnisen : 40 points
Runner-Up : Colin Gallacher : 37 points

Category 3 : Individual
Course rusty for most judging by the returns but there was some good golf in there too.  Wayne Goodwin, 31, John Fox 32, and Bente Hornshoej Hansen, 33 are mentioned but you never quite know what score will win this category do you?  Congratulations ton getting onto the podium:-
Winner : Graham Field : 36 points
Runner-Up ; Rinus de Zwart : 35 points

Team competition
108 points was standard par for the Team Threes and half the field achieved this benchmark of respectability so very well played. The rest is down to the handicap Organiser! Lol
Winners : Team 5 : 118 points
Alan Kilminster, Poul Friis Hansen, Sus Tonnisen and Bente Hornshoej Hansen
Runners-Up : Team 12 : 115 points
Jonathan Thompson, Colin Hewitt, Rinus and Sylvia de Zwart

On individual holes you excelled and with terrific shots into the Flags were:-
Poul Friis Hansen, Hole 3; Sylvia de Zwart, Hole 7; Harry Rice, Hole 11 and Sarah Kahn, Hole 17.

Successfully hunting for Twos today were Poul Friis Hansen and Roger Wood Hole 3; Sylvia de Zwart and Jonathan Thompson on hole 7; and Sarah Kahn on Holes 7 and 17. Well played.

It was great to enjoy a really good mix of Scots on St Andrew’s Day, regulars, irregulars, guests and friends and especially those not seen for such a long time and hope you all enjoyed your day.  Thanking you once again for your patience in hanging around for the presentation.

Of the three remaining competitions left this year El Valle, 07 Dec’23 and Roda Golf Party, 28 Dec’23 are showing fully booked with reserve lists only but there is availability at Villamartin on 21 Dec’23 another good golf course to play.  Just let me know of your interest as we never quite know the final starting line up.
