Hola AMIGOS
I must pass on a big thank you from the Organisers today for the patience you showed whilst waiting to acknowledge the prize winners. There are so many of you that want to play with us that delay is inevitable, but the length of that wait is shared fairly game to game. It was really good see you all looking resplendent in your red shirts on the sunshine terrace and hope, especially, that our debutants enjoyed their inaugural Amigos Competition?  How was the golf though?
Individual Category 1 
It was very very good with some excellent returns. Grahame Bradbury, Sam McReynolds and Graham Halifax, with 35 Stableford points and Bill Scarth, 37 points you are honourably mentioned and congratulated. The top 3 played so well and the top 2 earned places in the exclusive Amigos Forties Club as testament to same. Brilliant:-

Individual Category 2 
Again, some very good scoring and can cite Jamie Allam, Gordon Hutchinson, Marc Van Der Cruyssen and An Van Den Borre, 34 points and Mike Portlock, 35 points honourably. Well done. Your winner also joins the Amigos Forties Club and the 1-2-3 certainly merited their prizes.

Individual Category 3 
Once more some good returns and especially from the Ladies. Bente Hornshoej Hansen and Pauline Wood, 33 points are mentioned and Dave Hughes and Lynne Hind, 36 points honourably so. Congratulations are extended to the winners for demonstrating their golfing prowess:-

Team Competition 
A 20 point divergence of scores were returned showing some Teams gelling very well and others not so but the Computer entries and totals clarified excellent Team scores and separated by small margins. Well played every Amigo.

Other team scores were: Teams 4 & 6 = +15, Teams 8 & 14 = +11, Team 2 = +9, Team 11 = +8, Team 3 = +7, Team 15 = +6, Team 7 = 0, Team 1 = -1, Teams 5 & 9 = -6.
Where sharpshooting counted these guys were really good! Nearest the Pin Hole 9, Billy Cashman, Hole 10 (in 2), Steve Jones, Hole 11 (in 2), Tony McManus and Hole 12, Anthony Gray.  Holing out for ‘Two’s’ were Grahame Bradbury and Graham Hallifax on Hole 12 and Brian Dagnall on Hole 15. Very well played one and all.

And whilst you are there check out the fixtures for the up-coming competitions to the end of the year, there are some great venues!  They are, however, very full but please do contact me should you want to play as there are often withdrawals needing to call up reservists!
There is availability at La Finca on Friday 27 Dec’24, though, if you are here in Spain and fancy a game in between Christmas and the New Year festivities and watch out for the last Race to La Finca battle.
