Hola Amigos, 
Thank you all for supporting Amigo’s last competition of 2020. And whilst we have now just about seen the back of this year we have at least managed to play golf in relative safety.

Great all round scoring today and many congratulations go to all prize winners and everyone who took part. But let’s give those winning a further mention.
Category 1 : Individual 
Winner : Garry Elderbrand (lower handicap), 34 pts,
Runner-Up : Colin Hynd, 34 pts
Honourably mentioned is Gordon Hutchinson, 33pts.

Category 2 : Individual 
Winner :  Stuart Crump, 35pts,
Runner-Up : John Burgess, 33pts
Honourably mentioned is Carol Henshall-Brown, 32pts.

Category 3: Individual 
Winner :  Lynne Hynd, 36pts,
Runner-up : Liz Murty 35pts
Honourably mentioned is Graham Field, 33pts.

Team Category 
Winners : Team 6 : 114 points
Gordon Hutchinson, Eddie Beale, Bob Lancaster and Liz Murty
Runners-up: Team 1 : 107 points
Garry Elderbrand, Kersten Rammeloo, Stuart Crump and Liz McReynolds.

Other team scores were: Team 7 - 104 pts, Team 2 = 103 pts, Team 3 & Team 8 = 97 pts, Team 5 = 92 pts, Team 4 = 86.

And many plaudits go to our Order of Merit trophy winner, Sep-Dec’20, for a sustained  period of memorable golf scoring:-
Richard MacDonald : 187 points, (averaging 37.4 per game for his best 5 competitions out of 8). A great record!

I have re-arranged next Thursday’s Competition to La Torre on 07 Jan’21 as a change from El Valle, so please do book on-line or let me know soonest. We play La Torre again on 21 Jan’21 and please do book to be selected for our annual Amigos v Comber match to be played at La Serena on Wednesday, 27 Jan’21. This has been re-arranged from last November and the venue subject to the Los Alcázares travel restrictions being lifted.

Finally, I will say nothing of 2020 as it’s all been said but all at Amigos do look forward to and toast a 2021 where we hope that everyone will remain safe and healthy to play golf with all of our members and on all courses scheduled on the fixture list.
