Hola Amigos,
Despite the late arrival of staff in the pro-shop, timings, and even players turning up at the wrong golf course the competition eventually got under way and very successfully. What a glorious day it was for golf and played on a great choice of venue, Saurines, which lived up to all of the pre-game hype.
I am delighted to let you know that Captain Bob Lancaster and his Amigos Team retained the trophy and by a resounding margin:-
6 wins Amigos, 1 win SGS and 2 draws; Total points 192 Amigos and 132 SGS
The competition was all about Teamwork with no honourable mentions or otherwise.
Thank you all for playing and supporting the event which has now become a traditional fixture.  What was more encouraging than the result was the great spirit in which the game was played and long may it continue, so thank you all once more.
I have personally thanked Captain Brian Stobbs for his support and for him to pass our best wishes onto his players.
We look forward to defending our title again next year!
