Hola AMIGOS
This year's Sucina vs Amigos Challenge match was hosted by the Sucina team who had choice of course, format & after game venue. The game was played at La Serena which was in spectacular condition with lightning fast greens. The weather was perfect for golf and a few teams relished the conditions. Sucina chose a 4-ball Betterball format (not matchplay) where everyone's score tallied up to make an overall team score.

Results
There was some excellent scoring with the ;stand-out' for the day being a 50 point tally by Iain Stewart & John Burgess. Dot Jones & An van den Borre also had an excellent 46 points and Dave Hughes & John Fox amassed 44points in a high scoring game in which Mo & Sarah Khan also managed 40 points. Sam McReynolds & Bob Lancaster managed the best Sucina score with a very creditable 42 points.
Whilst there was no formal 'head to head' element in the format, most teams played an 'unofficial' one and the overall scores would have given Amigos 8 wins & Sucina 2. More importantly, the actual final scores were Amigos 393 points vs Sucina 352 points, so HR Amigos retain the trophy for another year.

The Challenge Trophy was presented to Amigos Captain Harry Rice by the Sucina vice captain Bob Lancaster (Joe Leahy - Sucina captain had rushed back to the UK to address a family issue) at the after game meet-up in Franc & Louise's.

Next year's event will be 25th November 2023 at Hacienda Riquelme so let's make sure we retain this trophy for yet another year.
