The January - April 2018 HR Amigos 'Order of Merit' consisted of 12 qualifying games (the Howarth Challenge & Couples Challenge were Match play and excluded from the OOM results). To minimise the impact of over-subscription to games and potential 'stand downs' by individuals it wad decided that the most games an individual could record in the OOM would be 8 and that it would always be their first 8 games played from which their best 5 scores would calculated. ​ This Order of Merit proved to be a very closely fought contest with only 1 point separating the best four scores. The last game of the series was on 24/4 and (with the current first & second placed players not playing) it looked like an 'odds-on' certainty that Roger Wood would pip his low score of 28 to take the honours. Strange how things pan-out as a disappointing round of 27 points by Roger meant that he stayed in equal 2nd place with Brian Platt but they were joined by Anne Prince following a solid 32 points on the final day. Second, Third & Fourth places were decided based on a count-back basis where the lowest of the 5 scores of each individual was reviewed and the order based on the highest score. ​ Top 3 Scores: First Place: Graham Platts with 168 points Second Place: Anne Prince with 167 points Third Place: Brian Platt with 167 points ​ Hearty congratulations go to Graham Platts on a great win and an honourable mention should also go to Jeff Banfield in 15th place with a creditable 133 points from just 4 matches.
